ITS STORY

1954

It is the beginning of a traditional spectacle Son et Lumiere at  the Castle of Amboise. This one stopped in 1972. An young person of Amboise, in love with her city and thinking unfortunate  that the Castle will  not animated any more, throws out the idea, in April 1976, of an alive night spectacle created and presented by the inhabitants. Very quickly, a small team of enthusiast persons join her and sets to work...
Three months later, the dream is realized...

Our association, as the time of  the Renaissance with the invention of the art of printing , broadenes its lines of communication with its new Web site (http://www.renaissance-amboise.com). But...if you are here, it is because you know it before.

2003

This year, 28th season of spectacle, during which significant means will be implemented to emphasize the spontaneousness of the 300 actors who hold 450 roles : 40 tons of hardware, 400 projectors, 2 continuations, 1 data-processing organ stop allowing of the thousands of luminous effects, 5 sound sources, ensuring a captivating polyphony, significant pyrotechny, dancing waters and giant projections on natural screen...

Each year, of the improvements are brought. But the story of this alive spectacle does not stop today... You can take part in its evolution while bringing at the end of each evening, in a dialogue with the actors, your criticisms and suggestions.

Thus the version of the spectacle'' A LA COUR DU ROY FRANÇOIS'' is the result of an accessory collaboration between public and actors.
